According to Alabama Power’s Twitter feed, as of 4:30 AM today, October 11, 2018, Hurricane Michael left 45,000 customers without power. including 5,800 in Geneva County and 10,000 in Houston County (Dothan). Crews are working quickly to get power restored in the Wiregrass this morning.
Hurricane Michael caused power outages and down trees in Geneva, Alabama between 2 and 5 PM today, Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Our power went out at #HepperleManor at exactly 4:20 PM CAT.

I’m sitting in my living room as I write this listening to Hepperle Manor’s 3 sets of wind chimes bang and clash as the rain pours down on our metal roof. Hurricane Michael is expected to make landfall today and residents of Geneva, Alabama are bracing for the storm.
